DigiVegas 151 - Matt Moore

My Guest this week is Matt Moore, from Clare, MI. It’s difficult for a young male singer/songwriter to set himself apart from the crowd in a genre that is already packed full of talent, but that is exactly what Clare, Michigan based modern rock artist Matt Moore has been doing. His songs are the story of his life, often touching on love, relationships, personal struggles and faith. Matt has a unique ability to combine honest and vulnerable lyrics with passionate guitar playing to create an emotional and memorable experience.
Check out this episode of Digivegas. Matt shares music from his new CD, No Place Left To Hide, AND how you can get it for free. He also reminisces about playing for men in tights, as well as risking arrest to put on a show.

DigiVegas 150 - Sarah Burton

My guest this week is Sarah Burton, of Toronto, Canada. Her music is a mixture of folk, rock and country. I hesitate to use the term Americana, due to her personal geography. Canadiana is perhaps more accurate? :)

She's currently touring in support of her debut EP, Love Is For Pussies. Yeah, you got that right, it's a tongue-in-cheek attitude towards romance and relationships. She composes her songs with various sounds and feels, ranging from soft and mellow to lurid and rough, and some subtle angst too. She is due to release another EP, Mayflowers, sometime this fall.

Check out Sarah's conversation with Paulie on this episode of DigiVegas.

Digivegas 149 - Justin Tawick

When Justin Trawick recently was handed a bunch of lemons by getting laid off from his job, he decided to take to heart the lesson of his debut CD's title track, How To Build A Life With A Lemonade Stand. Much to the consternation of many in his family, Justin decided it was the perfect opportunity to actually make a go of this music thing. He's working on promoting his third release now, the appropriately titled EP Starting Over.

Ask any musician who's ever tried to make a living at it if its a full-time job...

DigiVegas 148 - 8 Ball Aitken

8 ball aitken

This week my guest is the very first banana picker I've ever had on the show. Yeah, you read that correctly. This guy is from the far north of Queensland, Australia, and he literally grew up on a plantation.

8 Ball Aitken is a country, blues & roots musician who is notable for his fusion of country music with the genres of Australian blues and roots music. He's working on promoting his third CD this summer, Rebel With A Cause, touring the US and Canada. We tracked him down, somewhere in the woods, along the highway in Maine. We're going to get him to pull over and have a little chat with him, and play some tunes off the new CD.

Download the show's MP3 FILE here.

You can find 8 Ball Aitken on his WEB SITE and his MYSPACE PAGE

His music can be purchased at: 8 Ball Aitken Amazon.com
